Basic coffee skills course

Course duration: 8 hours, 1 day

Who is it for: industry professionals who believe in continuing professional development and want to keep improving and anyone who wants to become a barista, the best job in the world.

This entry-level course will illustrate the origins and characteristics of the raw materials and explain how to use all the tools. You will learn the techniques and parameters you need to meet to obtain Certified Italian Espresso and our traditional cappuccino.

An attendance certificate will be issued at the end of the course.

Professional coffee skills course

Course duration: 8 hours, 1 day

Who is it for: anyone who has basic knowledge of the world of coffee and wants to delve deeper and improve their professional skills.

This course will summarise the basics of the basic coffee making course and will delve deeper into the coffee roasting and extraction processes. It will also focus on the array of variables that contribute to making good espresso, from grinding to the correct use of the equipment. You will also learn the basic milk frothing and pouring techniques for cappuccinos with latte art, as well as several coffee recipes. Moreover, there’ll be room for coffee tasting, so you’ll learn how to evaluate aromas and notes and recognise defects.

An attendance certificate will be issued at the end of the course.

Latte Art

Duration: 6 hours, 1 day

Who is it for: baristas who want to stand out for their in-depth technical and professional coffee making skills. You will have the chance to enter the Latte Art Grading System (LAGS), a qualification system that certifies a barista’s latte art skills.

A one-day hands-on course dedicated to milk frothing and pouring techniques to make the perfect Italian cappuccino with basic latte art patterns (roses, tulips, rosettas) and more elaborate ones, based on your experience and skills.

An attendance certificate will be issued at the end of the course.

Brewing

Course duration: 4 hours, 1 day

Who is if for: anyone who wants to know about the latest trends in the international coffee market and offer an exclusive and sophisticated product.

During this one-day course, you’ll learn new and alternative coffee extraction methods.
